I went for an MRI, from my referral I was unsure if my problem area would be scanned. When booking in a was reassured it would be. At my appointment prior to scan I was also reassured again and then post scan I asked again and was told it wasn’t on the referral so it hasn’t and can’t be scanned. I got very annoyed as I had asked twice before and now had to fork out $300+ for a scan that didn’t even show the full picture. After a heated decision with the scanner she got the receptionist who decided it was respectful to argue with me while I was naked in the changing room. This was completely unprofessional the staff were in the rush the whole time just trying to get to there tea break. They didn’t care about how I felt, I was in that much pain during my scan but was told we couldnt stop and I couldn’t move I was in tears. They didnt explain anything or care about my out of pocket expenses. I’ve written a large complaint to capital radiology and the response wasn’t a sorry but instead a “I don’t know what your complaining about”
Seems like the poor management comes from higher up. I think capital radiology need to do alot of training on communication because none of them seem to understand how to make someone feel comfortable, safe and supported in the services that they provided.
