Our Practitioners

Chris Bassett - Chiropractor & Clinical Director - Male - English - Walk-ins are welcome
Chris, our Clinical Director, and Chiropractor has a Bachelors and Masters in Chiropractic and has a keen interest in Sports Chiropractic. This has led him to treat athletes from junior to elite levels in many sports including tennis, golf, athletics, cycling, pole dancing, and rugby union/league. He provides corrective exercise rehabilitation as well as injury management and bio-mechanical correction as part of the performance based chiropractic care. In addition to his interest in sports, Chris has also attended numerous post-graduate seminars dealing specifically with children’s health and pregnancy care.   Chris will always make sure that he works with you to get the right amount of movement back into your spine for your body, so that your body and nervous system can work as healthily as possible. Some people need gentle care and movement while others prefer and respond best to stronger care. Using a combination of manual adjusting, drop table and soft tissue therapy, as well as the most up to date electronic instrument adjusting, Chris will get your spine and body moving and feeling better again.

Andrew Bacon - Chiropractor & Sports Trainer - Male - English - Walk-ins are welcome
Andrew graduated from Macquarie University with a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and a Masters of Chiropractic. He is experienced in treating diverse persons such as seniors, weekend warriors, athletes and everyone in-between. The biggest driving factor for Andrew to be a chiropractor is to help people move and feel better in a natural way. In his spare time, you’ll likely find him surfing on the northern beaches. Andrew was first exposed to chiropractic as a child after experiencing multiple cases of severe neck pain. He was treated by a chiropractor who enabled him to make a prompt recovery. Due to this, he developed a great importance for musculoskeletal health which has driven his passion for chiropractic care ever since. Currently, he is involved with working alongside St. Aloysius College in Milson's Point. Here, Andrew is the head sports trainer working closely with the senior rugby, basketball, soccer and athletic teams to minimise injury and maximise performance. He is passionate about finding the true source of dysfunction causing your pain. He believes that treatment shouldn’t be guided by pain but by the function of your body. Placing emphasis on function will prevent recurrence and chronicity of symptoms. Andrew is committed to working with your goals in recovering from injury and moving forward to maximise your body’s potential.

Phyllis Ng - Clinical Director, Chiropractor & Sports Trainer - Female - English & Cantonese - Walk-ins are welcome
Phyllis joined the Tensegrity team in 2015. She has graduated with Bachelor of Chiropractic Science as well as Masters of Chiropractic from Macquarie University. She is also a qualified sports trainer and since continued to further her education. From a young age, Phyllis has been heavily involved in sports of all kinds, ranging from basketball, netball and soccer to tennis and dancing (acrobatics). Health and fitness has always been a high priority for Phyllis, however she was restricted by injuries to her lower back and recurrent ankle sprains which eventually stopped her from participating in the sports she loved. She was able to return to sports after being treated and managed by sports chiropractors and manual therapists complemented with exercises, stretches and rehabilitation. Her passion for sports, interest in human anatomy, personal experiences and desire to help others to improve their health lead her to become a sports chiropractor. Phyllis focuses on working with you to treat the injuries, and understands the importance of examining body posture and finding abnormal bio-mechanical dysfunction to prevent and improve your health. She utilises a variety of techniques including manual adjusting, drop table, activator/impulse, taping, exercises, dry needling and soft tissue work to ensure the most effective treatment suitable for your body.

Michael Ferguson - Chiropractor & Sports Trainer - Male - English - Walk-ins are welcome
Michael has graduated from Macquarie University with a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and a Master of Chiropractic. Growing up, Michael had a keen interest in gymnastics, which eventually led him to compete at the highest international level in competitive cheerleading at the World Championships in Orlando, Florida. During this time, Michael endured his fair share of sporting injuries, which led him to seek chiropractic care. This experience ignited his passion for human anatomy, which ultimately led Michael to pursue chiropractic as a career. Michael is committed to not only identifying the source of pain, but also working with his patients to restore optimal biomechanical function. This is achieved through the employment of various treatment modalities, such as soft tissue work, adjustments, drop piece, taping and rehabilitation exercises.
