After completing his Bachelor of Dental Medicine & Surgery degree at Ain Shams University in Egypt in 2007, he obtained Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2012. He then went on to pursue a career in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) and obtained his Master's degree in OMFS from Cairo University in 2016 and Arab Board Fellowship in OMFS in 2018. His interest in oral health and research led him to Australia to pursue a Master of Public Health degree at La Trobe University, which he completed in 2020.
