Born and bred in New Zealand, Allister graduated from Otago University in 1995. He continued to practice in New Zealand, owning 2 practices in Auckland, until the end of 2014 when he relocated with his family to Melbourne. Allister has since been working as an Associate dentist in a busy surgery in East Bentleigh.
Allister brings a wealth of chair time knowledge and is passionate about preventative dentistry and believes that most dental problems can be prevented entirely or resolved more simply in their early stages. He has a strong interest in Aesthetic and restorative dentistry (fillings, crowns, veneers, bridges, implants, and root canals) and is capable of tackling those more difficult extractions. Since 2014, Allister has extended his cosmetic knowledge to incorporate FastBraces orthodontic treatment into his treatment planning for his clients, and is only one of a few Senior Masters FastBraces providers in Melbourne, with over 100 cases under his belt. He gained invaluable experience by practising in the public dental system in South Australia as well as in an emergency dental clinic for the Townsville Hospital and Health Service in North Queensland. Ben then relocated back to Melbourne to work in both private general and cosmetic dental practice.

Ben enjoys all aspects of oral health therapy and takes particular interest in restorative work in children and teenagers, periodontics in adults as well as treating children and teenagers with special needs. His calm approach has ensured patients are always comfortable and all oral health instructions are well explained.

Outside of the dental clinic, Ben enjoys reading, traveling, eating out and skiing.
