Dr Lu-Ann Chan - Specialist General Practitioner

Female - English
Qualifications: MBBS; FRACGP
Dr Lu-Ann Chan is a general practitioner who enjoys the breadth and variety of general practice with a keen interest in women’s medicine, child health, chronic disease management and preventative health care.

After gaining invaluable experience in various specialties at different hospitals in Adelaide and Brisbane, she discovered her true calling in family medicine and achieved her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2014.

Dr Lu-Ann aspires to deliver high quality care through compassion and effective communication. She believes that by working with her patients to improve health literacy, they will be better positioned to take ownership of their health and wellbeing. In her leisure time, she enjoys immersing herself in a captivating book or indulging in baking.

Dr Tim Copland - Specialist General Practitioner

Qualifications: MBBS, BSc (Hons), FRACGP
Meet Dr Tim, a University of Queensland trained General Practitioner. Tim enjoys all areas of GP but has special interests in paediatrics, sports & orthopaedics in General Practice. As a father of triplet girls, Tim brings real-life experience to understanding children, parenting, and family issues.

Dr Tim is a RACGP supervisor and educator, training specialist General Practice doctors. He is a surgical assistant in upper and lower limb orthopaedic surgery. Dr Tim’s hobbies include running, astronomy, reading and watching all types of sports.

Dr Tess Higgins - Specialist General Practitioner

Female - English
Qualifications: BA/BSc (Hons), MBBS, MMS, GCEL, FRACGP
Meet Dr Tess, a University of Queensland trained General Practitioner. Dr Tess is interested in the diverse nature of general practice and preventative medicine, but has a special interest in child and maternity health, and minor procedures including wound repair, implanon insertion/removal and skin excisions. She achieved her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2018.

In 2019, Dr Tess travelled to Sweden and completed a Masters of Medical Science in Medical Management at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm. She did her medical studies at the University of Queensland and then trained at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, The Royal Children’s Hospital, and The Prince Charles Hospital. She has also worked in rural and indigenous communities. She has acted as a medical officer and trainer for St John Ambulance First Aid services.

Dr Tricia Clark - Specialist General Practitioner

Qualifications: MBBS, MS, BSc, FRACGP
Meet Dr Tricia, a University of Queensland trained General Practitioner. She has special interests in pregnancy, managing familial or inherited conditions in general practice, paediatrics, mental health, genetics and chronic disease management.

Before medicine, Dr Tricia completed her Bachelor’s degree in Genetics and Cell Biology and went on to study Master’s in Genetic Counselling in the United States. Tricia brings her years of experience working as a general and prenatal genetic counsellor in Canada to complement her practice in medicine.

Dr Tricia currently spends her time away from work chasing after three active children, attempting to run, sailing and can occasionally be found coaching soccer and various other sports. She is always interested in discussing a good book.

Dr Patrick Chen - Specialist General Practitioner

Qualifications: MD; FRACGP
Dr Patrick Chen completed his medical degree at Melbourne University in 2014 before spending his junior doctor years in Rockhampton then Redcliffe. Prior to coming to medicine, Dr Pat studied and worked as a physiotherapist. He completed his Fellowship of the RACGP in 2019. His medical interests include paediatrics, and acute and chronic sporting/musculoskeletal conditions.

Outside of work Patrick enjoys spending time with his young family, playing badminton, all things sci-fi, and 4WDing on Moreton Island.
