About our practice

Aghapy Medical Centre is a GP Clinic located in Pakenham.

As of 1st August 2023 we will be moving to a mixed billing clinic.
*Aghapy Medical Centre is moving to a mixed billing practice to be able
to continue delivering the best possible quality of care for our community
from August 1st , 2023.
*Patients who hold a valid Medicare card are eligible to receive a rebate
for each consultation.
*Payment will be processed after the consult and Medicare rebate will be
put into your bank account within 2 days.
*Phone consults for REPEAT scripts ONLY , will be bulk billed.
*We will still bulk bill health care card holders, pension card holders,
DVA patients and children under 16 years of age.
*Venesection, Holter monitor and  Helicobacter breath tests will still be
bulk billed
*Care plans, mental health plans and health assessments will still be
bulk billed.

Our Practitioners

Dr Anwar Nan - General Practitioner

Male - Arabic, English
Dr Anwar Nan graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 1986. He completed a Master of Surgery in 1992 and obtained his certification from the Australian Medical Council (AMC) in 2002.
Anwar received his fellowship of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2003 and acquired a Primary Care Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine from the University of Queensland in 2010.
Dr Nan is a proficient doctor in Pakenham who demonstrates high-level clinical, technical and research skills through breadth and depth of knowledge, using creative reasoning, experience and vision to advance care. He specialises in all aspects of general practice.
Dr Anwar Nan is multilingual and fluent in English as well as Arabic.

Dr Goweid Goweid - General Practitioner

Dr Goweid Goweid completed his Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 1987 and obtained a Master of Surgery in 1992. He has been an accredited Fellow of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) since 2012. He received a Primary Care Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine from the University of Queensland in 2018.
Dr Goweid is a highly skilled GP in Pakenham and believes listening to his patients and motivating them to improve their health is at the heart of how he practices medicine. He has in-depth knowledge of a broad range of general health problems.
In addition to English, Dr Goweid Goweid speaks Arabic with fluency.

Dr Nisha Puthan Purayil - General Practitioner

Dr Nisha Puthan Purayil acquired her Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 1998. She obtained her certification from the Australian Medical Council (AMC) in 2008 and became an accredited Fellow of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2018. She completed a Primary Care Skin Cancer Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine in 2018.
Dr Purayil is a compassionate doctor in Pakenham who always puts patients first and is dedicated to ensuring that their experience is the best it can be. She is well-known for her kind nature and for her keen eye on all aspects of general practice.
Dr Nisha Puthan Purayil is multilingual and fluent in English as well as Malayalam.

Dr Urooj Yaser -

Dr Urooj Yaser is a compassionate, thorough, caring and enthusiastic medical practitioner. She strongly believes in providing her patients with holistic care. She completed her Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Pakistan in 2005.
For the past 8 years, Urooj has been practicing as a GP in Australia. She worked extensively in Latrobe regional hospital and Angliss Hospital before starting her general practice. She obtained her Australian Medical Council (AMC) certificate in 2008. She acquired a Primary Skin Cancer Certificate in 2015 and became a Fellow of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2019.
As a doctor in Pakenham, Dr Yaser holds uncompromising dedication to patient care and strives to uphold the highest standards. She enjoys working in all areas of Family Care and General Practice. She is keenly interested in Dermatology, Emergency Medicine, Mental Health, Paediatric, Women Health and Chronic Disease Management.
Urooj is well-known for her exceptional skills in performing minor procedures, comprehensive Skin Check and treatment. She completed a Diploma of Dermatology in 2016 and attained a Certificate of Aesthetic Medicine in 2018.
Alongside English, Dr Yaser is fluent in Urdu and Punjabi, which allows her to easily communicate with a diverse clientele.
