The reception staff are terrible, rude and completely oblivious. They had not received my referral correctly from my specialist and they told me I had to contact them to sort it out, which I did. Once it was faxed through to them, I was told the referring specialist was not on their system…. Not sure how this was my problem but the receptionist from the referring specialist literally had walked down and gave them the information. Once that was finally sorted I had been told by a patient waiting that she had already been waiting an hour for her appointment, I approached the receptionist to ask how far behind they were because I has another appointment booked that afternoon to which she abruptly replied “Go now then and come back once you’re finished”. Not once did she look up at me, her eyes did not leave the computer when she was talking to me. So, I walked out, and she yelled THANK YOU rudely as I left! I headed to my other appointment and returned 2 hours later, and I still waited to see Dr. Malhotra. I waited a further 20minutes, so in total my appointment was 2 hours and 15minutes late. Dr. Malhotra barely even said a word to me when I finally went in, he was rushing and dropping cords, he was very flustered. He didn’t explain much to me just proceeded with the conduction test. He put a needle in one side of my hand and then used the same needle for the other side of my hand. His office was a mess, full of empty boxes and paper, it was extremely unorganised. The reception waiting area looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in 3 months and given the current situation with Covid-19 that is unacceptable. The waiting area seating was not set up to the Governments recommended 1.5 metre social distancing, there wasn’t even any signage relating to Covid-19. The chairs were basically touching, and the waiting area was full of people. The receptionists were very unprofessional talking loudly so everyone could hear their conversations about their social media accounts and complaining about their scanner never working. They were also eating at their desks which again given the current Covid-19 pandemic this is not acceptable in helping stop the spread, its not acceptable at any time it is rude, unhygienic and unprofessional.
