Dr. Flora Luk - Optometrist

Flora graduated from The University of Melbourne with a Doctor of Optometry and has completed further training at The State University of New York. Flora is therapeutically endorsed by Optometry Australia to prescribe medication to treat a range of eye diseases, she is a member of Cornea and Contact Lens Society of Australia and Australian College of Behavioral Optometrists.
Flora has a broad range of experience as she has worked in optometry practices and hospitals throughout Australia and overseas. She has been actively involved in the clinical education of Optometry students at the Australian College of Optometry.
Flora’s passion for helping others motivated her to volunteer overseas as an Optometrist. She has travelled to Laos, China, Cambodia, Nepal and rural indigenous Australian communities to prescribe and provide accessible eye care to disadvantaged communities as well as working with local health professionals to improve their provision of quality eye care.
Flora has a special interest in dry eye, ocular diseases, specialty contact lenses including ortho-keratology and myopia control. She also has a special interest in children’s vision which involves improving a child’s binocular vision and visual processing systems.
Flora works closely with Randal to ensure that they are providing the highest standard of quality eye care and optimum clinical outcomes to their patients and community.
Flora is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Randal Lamont - Optometrist
Male - EnglishQualifications: Optometrist Education: Bachelor of Optometry
Randal Lamont graduated from Optometry at Melbourne University in 1977. His early interests were related to the detection and management of diabetic eye disease. He was one of the first optometrists in Australia to gain certification to prescribe Ocular Therapeutics, having travelled to Boston USA to complete the clinical component of his training.
Randal is an early adopter of new technology and loves using digital imaging techniques to monitor the ocular health of his patients. He has ensured that the practice is up to date with a full complement of diagnostic instrumentation. Contact lens fitting is also an area of interest and Randal is experienced at more complicated contact lens fitting such as keratoconus patients and bifocal rigid lenses. He is also experienced at fitting ortho-keratology lenses which correct myopia when worn overnight.
Randal works closely with Flora to ensure that they are providing the highest standard of quality eye care and optimum clinical outcomes to their patients and community.
Randal plays squash, skis and supports the Demons. He also enjoys music, food and wine and travelling with Jean, their two sons and extended family.

Jean Walters - Optometrist
Female - English, FrenchQualifications: Optometrist Education: Bachelor of Optometry
ean graduated from Melbourne University in 1977. In 1991 she completed a Graduate Diploma of Child Development and in 2004, a Certificate of Endorsement to prescribe Ocular Therapeutics.
She developed an interest in children’s vision at an early stage in her career and has presented papers at professional seminars and supervised clinical teaching of optometry students for more than twenty-five years.
Jean’s areas of expertise include binocular vision problems such as turned eyes and lazy eyes as well as the functional and visual processing problems which can effect children’s learning.
She is married to Randal Lamont and they have two sons. She loves reading, cooking and skiing and trying to speak French.
