Sian

Sian Henderson - Senior Physiotherapist and Clinic Manager

Sian completed her bachelor with honours degree in physiotherapy in 2012 at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Following graduation Sian worked for the National Health Service in a rotational post, developing knowledge and skills in different areas of physiotherapy practice including stroke and neurology, with a bias towards orthopaedics and musculoskeletal injuries.

In 2016 Sian decided to pursue her dream to travel the world and set off on a round-the-world trip. Upon landing in Australia, she fell in love with the lifestyle and decided to make Sydney her home from home. It was here she started her career in private practice, where she has treated a wide variety of sports and orthopaedic injuries whilst working alongside, and learning from, a number of highly experienced sports physiotherapists. She has helped manage injury clinics for Roosters Junior teams and has worked alongside cast and crew members on film sets at Fox Studios.

Being from Scotland, she is an enthusiastic supporter and follower of rugby union and has provided weekend coverage for rugby union teams both in Edinburgh and here in Sydney. She is driven to educate patients on the nature of their condition, and how to manage their injuries appropriately and prevent recurrence long term.

Outside of work, Sian enjoys playing hockey and likes to keep active by running and going to the gym. On weekends you will usually find her outdoors swimming, kayaking or hiking!
Adam

Adam Pendergast - Senior - APA Titled Musculoskeletal ​Physiotherapist

Since graduating from the University of Sydney in 2003, Adam has had a wide range of clinical experiences. He has in acute public hospital settings and private hospital rehabilitation as well as with professional athletic teams, most notably the Parramatta Eagles in the Soccer Super League and NSW gymnastics.

He has also worked in country NSW, running a busy private practice in the Hunter Valley before joining us at Cremorne Physio. He is passionate about providing a high quality, client-focussed service, whether it is solving the problems of the everyday individual or the performance goals of the professional athlete and elite military personnel. Adam has a deep interest in sports and has recently retired from playing for Coogee United Football Club.

As well as treating sports and joint injuries, Adam has a particular interest in lower back pain, disorders of the spine and core stability retraining, having undertaken extensive further education in this area. Adam believes in an evidenced-based approach including appropriate hands-on treatment, client education and exercise rehabilitation. His goal is to assist his clients to move better so that they can be happier and stronger in their day-to-day lives.
Shanice

Shanice Gabriel - ​Senior ​Physio, Women's Health Physiotherapist and Assistant Manager

Shanice graduated from the Australian Catholic University with a degree in Physiotherapy. She has worked with a diverse caseload including women's health, sports injuries, orthopaedic surgeries, chronic-pain, paediatrics, geriatric, and post cancer treatment rehabilitation. Shanice's approach to treating patient’s is evidence-based with patient centred goal setting in order to attain optimal results for her patient’s specific needs.

Shanice is our senior women's health physiotherapist at Wolli Creek. She treats women along their lifespan including antenatal care, post-natal checks, prolapse, incontinence, chronic constipation, painful sex, endometriosis and pelvic related pain, mastitis and more!

Shanice is also an APPI (Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute) certified matwork and equipment Pilates instructor and teaches patient specific/goal orientated rehabilitation within the clinic. These specialised classes are available for both private 1-on-1 sessions and small group classes. Shanice is an advocate for the use of clinical Pilates for pain management, improving function, injury prevention and rehabilitation.

As well as a highly empathetic and caring Physiotherapist, Shanice values research/up to date evidence based practice, making her the ideal physiotherapist to work with. Outside of work, Shanice enjoys keeping active by going to the gym, exploring outdoors and travelling.
Sam

Sam Resnekov - Physiotherapist

Sam completed is Bachelor of Health science anda subsequently is Masters of Physiotherapy in 2021, Both at the University of Sydney.
Since doing Practicals at university, he has been working alongside with Sports teams such as the UTS Bats AFL and the Dunbar Rovers football. He also started as a Physio aide in the eastern suburbs, and upon graduating remained in private practice as a physiotherapist. He began working with older population, focusing on strength and conditioning prior to joint replacement surgery and to recover with high function post-surgery.
Sam was attracted to physiotherapy by witnessing its’ effects first and second hand, through improving his family’s and his own injuries. As a clinician, it gives him great satisfaction to help people improve their understanding of the body and subsequently to live their lives pain free.
He has a big love for participating in both team and individual sports. Initially rugby and muay thai were his main interests, which later transitioned into padel, Brazilian jiu jitsu, and surfing. Another major passion is travel, particularly to the non-english speaking parts of the world.
In his free time, who can generally find Sam outdoors, whether at the beach, going hiking, or playing a sport. However, a lazy day once a week is usually a must for him.
