About our practice
Our Mooroolbark Chiropractors are experienced in seeing a range of musculoskeletal concerns including neck pain, joint ache, muscle tension and back pain. At our practice a large range of techniques are available including traditional manual chiropractic adjustments and other options such as activator, drop piece and blocking.
Chiropractors use a range of different techniques in order to best treat their patients, these include but are not limited to:
Manual Chiropractic adjustments: Is a controlled force in to the body done by hand, this is sometimes known as spinal manipulation but is not limited to the spine.
Chiropractic Blocking technique: This technique involves the use of padded blocks
Drop Piece technique: A modification of the manual adjustment. The use of drop piece utilises moveable sections of a chiropractic table to take most of the force of the manual thrust.
Activator adjusting tool: A spring loaded instrument that is used to provide a targeted impulse directed at locations on the spine
Spinal decompression: This technique involves the use of a purpose built table which all of our clinics are equipped with. This table tractions the spine
Rehabilitation: Involves a range of exercises and stretches prescribed by your chiropractor with the intention of maximising function and aiding in recovery post injury.
