After family practice closed down in my area, I was told to pay for a release of my documents. That was fine and I paid it. A whole MONTH and a bit later, I was told my medical records would be sent to Yamba as the owner was transferring the computers there.

I called multiple times each time I got told “The practice manager has gone home” two weeks ago So exhausted I just left my name and number as it was 1:00pm. I asked if anyone else could assist. ‘No’. Explained how important it was. “Well she’s gone home”.

Weeks later, no reply call, voice mail or email with said documents. I need this for 5 different specialist appointments and further allied health practitioners. I am unwell but they are forcing me to be the one constantly following up with no improvement or assistance.

Family Practice has shown me through repeated failure, misdiagnosis, refusal to investigate medical issues despite my condition worsening; that they are negligent and don’t care about their patients, only the bottom dollar. Absolutely abhorrent behaviour. As far as I’m concerned, they’ve forced my had and I’m going to need to take this matter further with the Health Ombudsman, my solicitor and Civil Tribunal. Disgraceful behaviour, no wonder these practices are closing down.
