Redcliffe Parade Family Medical Practice at Bluewater Shopping Centre.
The Doctors are very good. Sometimes hard to get appointments ( at least 4 days).
Reception ladies have up & down days, some days they are nice and doing their jobs well and other days ( like today 28/01/22) they are in very bad moods and don’t want to help anyone.
Wife had her booster shot today and was very uneasy with getting it done, walked into practice and straight up told to sit over there in the waiting room. The lady then came over and told her she had to check in on IPad, she explained that she preferred to not use the iPads and can they check her in. Was told she would have to get used to the iPad. With all the the virus & sickness around, everyone touching the same iPads is not healthy at all ( I know you have wipes, but they are not going to kill all sickness & virus). It is not that big deal for reception to check people in ( ( booking appointments and checking people in is normal part of reception).
Then they got angry because people are not sitting on the correct side ( to the lift for injections & to the right to see the doctors). ( 1: No signs up indicating what side is what. 2: No seats on one side and spare seats on the other side.)
So the rudeness of the reception lady today help a lot with my wife’s stress about getting the injection.
It’s ok!!! Don’t you worry about how stressed out she is now, I will calm her down.
And it wasn’t just my wife they were rude to either, it was a number of people.
I know everyone has good and bad days, but in that job you can never be like that with people who treat you ok.
